Community Service

The Coroner's Office is involved in community-oriented programs that reflect the Office's commitment to education and prevention while supporting the vision of Sacramento County -- to be the most livable community with the highest quality of public service.

• Every 15 Minutes -- a high school focused program involving multiple agencies that dramatizes the realities of drinking and driving.
• Youthful Drunk Driver Visitation Program (DUI Program) -- court required visitation to the County Morgue for minors convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. [Vehicle Code § 23145]
• Child Death Review Team -- a multidisciplinary committee that reviews all child deaths in Sacramento County. Click here to see the 2004 Child Death Review Team Annual Report.
• Domestic Violence Death Review Team -- a county-wide committee that reviews domestic violence deaths not currently in litigation.
• Elder Abuse and Neglect Team -- a multidisciplinary committee of county and medical community representatives that reviews cases of elder abuse, neglect, and suspicious death in Sacramento County. Click here to see the 2004 Elder Death Review Team Annual Report.
